Strong Wind Blows Water Back Up Waterfall

Mother Nature had different plans for a river trying to dive over a cliff in the Faroe Islands. Spectacular video footage shot by Facebook user Mortan Mortensen seemingly depicts heavy winds blowing water that should be cascading down a waterfall back up and over the top of the cliff:

WATERFALL BLOWN UPWARDS

Extreme weather conditions hit the Faroe Islands and caused a waterfall to apparently move upwards on Saturday. The bizarre sight came as heavy winds and waves hit Gasadalur, a settlement on the coast of the Faroe Islands.

In a Facebook post, Mortensen explains that the footage was shot near Gasadalur, a small village on the western coast of the Faroe Islands.

A similar phenomenon occurred last year in England, after storm-force winds nudged the River Kinder back up over the edge of Kinder Downfall:
