The Quirks of Space Station Life Revealed

Without a doubt, life aboard the International Space Station is pretty remarkable. Astronauts are regularly treated to mind-blowing views of Earth as they participate in scientific investigations that will shape space exploration for decades to come.

What may not be quite as obvious to those of us on Earth, however, are the nuances that set space station life apart from our ordinary planetary existence.

Did you know, for example, that sandwiches aboard the International Space Station are hand-crafted with tortillas instead of bread, which can send pesky crumbs flying through the air?
