Oregon Zoo Animals Frolic in Winter Wonderland

As children around the globe headed back to school following the New Years holiday, the Oregon Zoo was fortunate enough to score a series of unexpected snow days.

While the facility was deserted, zookeepers took to social media to share an enchanting -- and now viral -- video of Amur tiger Mikhail and his harbor seal neighbors Tongass and Kaya enjoying their freshly fallen winter wonderland:

"It's been a crunchy, slushy, wintry and beautiful day," the zoo remarked in a Facebook post.

Located in Portland, the 64-acre Oregon Zoo houses nearly 60 different threatened and endangered species. The facility is also an active part of 21 different Species Survival Plans, cooperative programs between zoos and aquariums that ensure the continued survival of endangered species.
