You've never had a view like this before! As part of an awareness-raising event, wildlife conservation group Freedom Conservation strapped a camera onto a white-tailed eagle, named Darshan, as it dove off of Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest skyscraper. The 2,722-foot plunge set the record for the highest recorded bird flight from a man-made structure.

The Crown Prince of Dubai invited the group to the city to stage an event to raise awareness for animal conservation in urban areas. The group has organized similar events in other European cities in the past.

"We know that people love these types of videos. It's a great way for us to attract the public's attention to endangered animals and to the fact that humans need to learn how to share their space with these animals," Freedom Conservation Director Ronald Menzel told NBC News in an interview.
