USS Indianapolis

 
Before the USS Indianapolis became the flagship of the U.S. 5th Fleet in the Pacific, it served in a number of capacities, including as President Franklin Roosevelt's ship of state. This picture shows the ship in port at Long Beach, Calif., in 1937.
