Flight 2A.1: Living Supplies

Launch date: May 27, 1999
Launch vehicle: Space Shuttle (Shuttle Mission STS-96)
Launch complex: Kennedy Space Center

The Spacehab Double Cargo Module is an unpressurized cargo carrier that fits snugly in the shuttle bay. Astronauts transfer logistics and cargo secured to its sides into the station. The shutttle also delivers an external Russian cargo crane for use during maintenance activities. It is installed in a later mission.
