Flight 7A: Airlock

Launch date: July 12, 2001
Launch vehicle: Shuttle Atlantis (Shuttle Mission STS-104)
Launch complex: Kennedy Space Center

The airlock module under construction at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. The airlock includes an "equipment lock" on the left for storing spacesuits and other gear. On the right, the "crewlock" will allow astronauts to exit into space. The structure is 18 feet long and has a mass of about 13,500 pounds.
