FEATURE: It's the cornerstone of the space station, but what exactly will Zarya do?

INSIDE STORY: The difference between Russia and NASA

The U.S.-designed, Russian-built module steers, drives and provides basic communications until the Russian Service module arrives to take over. Though fate downgrades her to passageway and fuel storage, Zarya always remains first in the hearts of space-station enthusiasts.
