Renee was born to poor parents who were local pioneers in Hardy's grocery store business, eventually owning 22 grocery stores. It was during the building of the family business that Renee learned the value of hard work and self-sustenance. She had two brothers who passed away during youth, leaving Renee to one day take over the family business on her own.
Today, she owns a 7,000-acre cattle ranch, a movie theater, a newspaper, a sporting goods store, a hotel, a shopping center and three funeral homes. She is involved in many investments and has a combined 1,200 employees working for her.
As one of the state's most savvy businesspeople, Renee knows what she wants. And if she wants it, she will get it.
