Will surgeons be replaced by robots?

Robot surgeons might sound like something you'd only find in a futuristic sci-fi film, but they're not. In fact, you might find one at your local hospital. In fact, according to ABC News, about 200,000 robotic-assisted surgeries were performed in the United States in 2010. And the first all-robotic surgery took place that very year. In October of 2010, the da Vinci surgical robot partnered with an anesthesia robot to remove a Canadian patient's prostate, making surgical history in the process.
