James P. Dwyer
James Dwyer has over 41 years of experience in the archaeological field. He spent 4 years excavating and analyzing materials from Meadowcroft Rockshelter in Pennsylvania, which is known as the oldest site in North America. He has also worked with the University of Pittsburgh, The Illinois State Museum, Arcon Archaeological Consultants, and the Safety Harbor Museum. Dwyer served as Senior Environmental Scientist with SE Technologies Pittsburgh. Dwyer's underwater experience includes excavating the Caesarea Maritima and the Atlit-Yam. Dwyer also created the National Association Underwater Archaeology course for the National Association for Underwater Instructors International, which the Professional Association of Diving Instructors also adopted for their program. Dwyer also taught this course to sports and recreational divers in the Pittsburgh area as well.
