The Kölnbrein Dam in Austria is one of the biggest dams in the world.

At the very bottom is an emergency relief valve, which releases water if the dam ever gets too full.

When opened, 20,000 liters of water per second are released – travelling at 50 miters per second.

It is able to hold back over 200 million tons of water, and with that can generate enough electricity to power an entire city for a whole week.
