Global explorer Josh Gates never shies away from a mysterious investigation! Follow Josh on "Expedition Unknown: Shark Secrets," premiering on Wednesday, July 29 at 9P, as he travels back in time to understand some of the most infamous shark encounters in the books.

From the earliest known shark attack recorded to a frightening shark feeding frenzy following the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, there is so much for Josh and viewers to explore during Shark Week 2026.

Additionally, Josh will investigate the legendary "Stronsay Beast," a mysterious creature that washed ashore in Scotland in 1808. It was long thought to be a sea monster, but could it in fact be the remains of a massive shark? Find out on "Expedition Unknown: Shark Secrets," only on Discovery!
