JJ’s son, Josh Day, goes by “Doughboy” in the streets. He has been racing only a couple years but has more wins than losses under his belt. Being new to racing has meant Doughboy has had to learn a lot, not just about how to race a car but also how to manage his emotions when things start getting heated on race night. After wrecking his first car, Lilly, a ’64 Chevy Nova, JJ and his mama bought Doughboy a ’62 Impala he named Debo.
