Hell And High Water
Winter is quickly approaching the Devil's Canyon area of British Columbia and temperatures are dropping fast. Extreme mining experts Ben van der Valk and Boyce Goff are forced to stop hunting gold and start insulating their shelters in order to survive. Ben is running out of food, but an unexpected snow gives him hope that he'll be able to finally track down some game. A promising dig site motivates Boyce to take a chance on hauling in his heavy mining equipment.

Wasting Away
Extreme mining experts Ben van der Valk and Boyce Goff have only 4 weeks until winter destroys every hope they have of pulling gold out from Devil's Canyon. After escaping his flooded camp sight and relocating to higher ground, Boyce finds what he thinks is his greatest opportunity to hit pay dirt. Ben drastically changes tactics and takes the ultimate risk for a chance to save his season by rappelling off a cliff to the base of a raging waterfall. Mining veteran John Belcik makes his initial descent into the Canyon, confident he has the skills to score the gold.

Big Risk Big Reward
Devil's Canyon has destroyed every attempt by mining experts Ben Van Der Valk, Boyce Goff and John Belcik to dig up gold. Desperate for a breakthrough, John's mining plans are derailed when a tree crushes his shelter. Ben discovers the best dig site he's ever seen, but without fresh meat has no energy to mine it. Boyce's only shot at gold leaves him with dire options.

Dead Men Get No Gold
Time is running out for expert miners Ben van der Valk, Boyce Goff and John Belcik as winter closes in. Ben bags a critical deer to save his mining season; then constructs a temporary smoker to preserve the 80 pounds of meat. John shotguns his tin can into an essential piece of mining equipment, and uncovers promising signs of gold at his dig site. After risking his life to swim the Canyon's treacherous river Boyce is rewarded with a honeypot of gold. But to dig it up he'll need to transport 500 lbs of gear across the surging waters.

Devil’s Handshake
At the final push before winter, all three miners are short of their season goals. John's dig site proves nearly impenetrable, while Boyce's pump problems could force him to leave everything behind. Ben's bush-craft skills will determine if he survives the freeze.
