Coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, TERROR AND GLORY: 1945 combines never-seen-before film footage of the final months narrated by two dozen men who lived through it.

Using newly restored archival footage interwoven with the narration of first-hand accounts, TERROR AND GLORY: 1945 spotlights the sacrifices of the greatest generation as America and the world grapples with the meaning and consequences of this defining era of world history.

The documentary is directed by filmmaker Erik Nelson, who weaved together the incredible stories of these men from the flag-raising at Iwo Jima in February 1945, to desert bomb tests in New Mexico, culminating in the air war over Japan.

Terror and Glory: 1945 will screen virtually in theaters starting August 14 and coming soon to Discovery.
