Moonshiners Mark and Digger are known throughout Tennessee and southern Appalachia for producing some of the best moonshine in the region. Whether recreating Popcorn Sutton’s legendary recipes, mixing their own mash, or brewing a batch of matrimonial moonshine, the duo have established themselves as local legends, carrying on the traditions of their predecessors.
Though they prefer their ‘shine straight, here’s one of their favorite holiday cocktail recipes — the Peppermint Gimlet.

- Mark and Digger’s Peppermint Moonshine
- Lime Juice
- Lemon juice
- Lime wedge
- Simple syrup
- In a shaker half-filled with ice, add the peppermint moonshine, lime juice, lemon juice and simple syrup.
- Mix well and strain into a cocktail glass with ice.
- Garnish with lime wedge
