Celebs Attempt to Give their Pets Makeovers in Quarantine on New Animal Planet Special

THE GREAT AMERICAN GROOM-ALONG premieres on Animal Planet on Saturday, June 20 at 10P ET.

The pandemic has led to a rise in pet fostering and animal adoption in the U.S., leaving pet owners with a with a wide range of questions about their new fluffy family member’s health. As professional groomers are closed to the public, pet owners are faced with a new set of challenges such as how to trim a terrier’s nails, what is the best shampoo for a shitzu, and how to primp a pooch’s unruly fur? Now, animal enthusiast Carson Kressley is here, along with professional groomers, to help answer those questions for you and celebrity pet owners.

Joining Kressley is celebrity dog groomer Jorge Bendersky, creative pet stylist Milena Kon, and Christine Keesee, a dog and cat groomer who is passionate about creative grooming. These experts have the bona fides and they’ve seen it all! Each groomer provides easy to follow groom-along tips for good health and the best looks for all breeds of dogs and cats.

Celebrity guests participating in THE GREAT AMERICAN GROOM-ALONG with their furry best friends include singer Aubrey O'Day, actor Dennis Quade, eight-time Olympic medalist, Apolo Ohno, actress Bianca Stam, first responder and pediatric emergency medical physician Chesy Nichols, Kym Herjaved (Dancing with the Stars), and Robert Herjavec (Shark Tank). As each celebrity pet owner grooms along based on their dedicated groomer’s instructions, Animal Planet viewers can follow along with their own beloved furry friends!
