Time is running out for expert miners Ben van der Valk, Boyce Goff and John Belcik as winter closes in. Ben bags a critical deer to save his mining season; then constructs a temporary smoker to preserve the 80 pounds of meat. John shotguns his tin can into an essential piece of mining equipment, and uncovers promising signs of gold at his dig site. After risking his life to swim the Canyon's treacherous river Boyce is rewarded with a honeypot of gold. But to dig it up he'll need to transport 500 lbs of gear across the surging waters.
